Sree Narayana Mission Center (SNMC) is a charitable organization established in the Greater Washington DC area. SNMC is dedicated to propagate the ideals and teachings of Saint Sree Narayana Guru. SNMC fosters universal brotherhood and communal harmony through public meetings, seminars and lectures, symposia, discourses, and publications. SNMC is funded through membership fees, donation from members and well-wishers, support from sister organizations, and profit from publication of souvenirs and conducting cultural programs.
On December 9th 2001, several devotees of Sree Narayana Guru from Greater Washington DC area met at Baltimore city under the leadership of Mr. Gangadharan Ala and Mr. P. Indukumar. Those who were present at the meeting discussed how to propagate Narayana Guru’s teachings and materialize Guru’s vision such that it would serve humanity at large.
The meeting decided to open a mission center in the name of Sree Narayana Guru in the Washington DC area. This center will have a library, which will include the writings of Sree Narayana Guru and other materials highlighting Guru’s philosophy. SNMC will have facilities to conduct seminars and other meetings. This center will maintain its secular nature and cooperation with other sister organizations and people who are willing to extend their help.
